6.3 kWp Solar PV install on the Selco Warehouse, Nottingham

The Selco builders & timber merchants outlet in Nottingham was fitted with a 6.3 kWp solar PV system. This installation was driven by planning requirements and a desire by management to show the green credentials of the company off. The system was fixed on a north facing roof on a 5 degree pitch. We are happy to report that this system is actually producing 10% more than we predicted using the SAP 2009 software.


NHS Strelley Health Centre install solar PV

The NHS is the largest employer within the country, and as an organisation it recognises the need to reduce its carbon footprint and seek out technologies that are sustainable. The NHS Health Centre in Strelley, Nottingham decided that by installing a 10kWp solar PV system, it could reduce energy costs and also realise an income stream from the Feed-in Tarrif. 


JCB Training Academcy gets the Solar Thermal treatment

MG Renewables fitted 16 square meters of Stiebel Eltron solar thermal evacuated tubes to JCB's training Academy in Rocester. This was supported by a 1,600 litre storage cyclinder to provide hot water for the trainings as and when it was required.


Nottingham City Schools educating pupils about green technologies

MG Renewables have fitted numerous demonstration wind turbines and solar PV panels on behalf of Nottingham City Schools. The clients aim is to introduce its pupils to sustainable energy sources from a young age. MG Renewables is extremely delighted to be involved in this activity, as we believe it is crucial to educate the next generation about sustainable energy sources.


Princess Marina Hospital

MG Renewables fitted a Solar Thermal system for the hospital consisting of 24 meters square of Kingspan evacuated tubes. Princess Marina Hospital is delighted with the 2,000 litres of storage that they realised from this technology.


Nottingham Trent University residential blocks - currently the biggest UK Solar Thermal installation

MG Renewables installed Solar Thermal on eleven accommodation block at the university's new Clifton campus development in 2011. This accommodation was designed to accommodate 720 Nottingham Trent University students. The total system size is 4,000 evacuated tubes with the capacity to provide 33,000 litres of solar heated hot water per day. At the time of installation this was the largest solar thermal project in the UK.
